Jill Zuccardy, Esq., has been associated with Lansner & Kubitschek since 1998. In addition to holding positions in matrimonial practices, Ms. Zuccardy has worked as the Director of the Incarcerated Mothers Law Project at Women’s Prison Association, the Director of the Child Protection Project at Sanctuary for Families in New York City and as a staff attorney at legal services programs

Ms. Zuccardy was co-counsel in Nicholson v. Scoppetta, the firm’s landmark class action lawsuit in which a federal court found that the practice of removing children from battered mothers and prosecuting the mothers for child neglect because the children have witnessed domestic violence is unnecessary, punitive and a violation of the civil rights of mothers and children.

Ms. Zuccardy regularly provides training and technical assistance throughout the country on family law and child welfare issues to audiences including domestic violence advocates, child protective workers, batterers program staff, guardians ad litem, judges, attorneys and government officials. She has appeared on numerous national television broadcasts to opine on family law issues, and is the recipient of numerous awards for her activism and volunteerism.
